Pass Several Ball Around the Circle - Switch
Purpose of this lesson:
Once the class can successfully pass several balls around the circle, the teacher calls 'Switch' and everyone has to pass their balls in the opposite direction.
Now the students has to accurately pass a ball, track the next ball coming to them AND listen for the verbal cue to switch directions AND know what direction they are passing in and reverse that.
As students learn to navigate these complex tasks, they learn to perceive and be comfortable in higher levels of complexity.
This level of understanding is useful in making music, hearing music, and it is important in most social concerns to perceive many layers are happening at once and flow with this rather than getting overwhelmed.
