Hibernation
Why This Exercise Is Important:
This lesson is important because the students have been active, attentive, challenged. Now it a time they can relax, rest.
They have a calm safe time to notice what is happening with them.
Also they are learning to respect others need to rest and to let other have a moment.
Students usually hear live calm gentle music while they 'hibernate'. This music hellps guide them into a calm state. This also give students exposure to actual music instruments.
The hibernating also helps students transition to their next activity which may be less active or active in a different way.
