Toss - 1 Bean Bag, To Self - Two Hand
Purpose:
Experience how the whole body is part of the action of tossing the BeanBag.
Hand eye coordination and timing.
Gripping an object.
Directions:
Set very clear parameters.
"Place your hand on the top of your head.
Move this hand straight out in front of you.
For now, you are allowed to toss up to this high. If you toss higher, you crossed the line and will loose your bean bag."
Level 1: Lift a Bean Bag Two Handed - to Self
Hold the bean bag in front of you with both hands.
Without moving, notice the weight and texture of the bean.
Slightly lift and slightly drop the bean bag.
Notice how it feels heavier in your hands as you lift it up.
Notice how it feels lighter in your hands as you let it move down
Level 2: Toss a Bean Bag Two handed - to Self
Raise the hands fast enough so that the bean bag just barely leaves your hands.
Raise the hands fast enough so that the bean bag is tossed up about 2 inches.
Raise the hands fast enough so that the bean bag is tossed up 4 inches.
Toss the bean bag just over the height of your head.
Toss the bean bag 6 times in a row with out dropping it.
Level 3: Toss a Bean Bag Two Handed - to Self while on a Balance Board

Glitches:
- Student keep dropping the bean bag
- Teach them to grasp the bag. Have them hold it in their hands. "I am going to pull on bean bag. I want you to hold onto it and don't let go."
- Students throw too high
- Take away their bean bag with as little energy and drama as possible.
