Purpose:
This simple act helps student learn to attend to and attune to an others' signals and cues.
Passing the ball with care teaches a certain sense of caring.
Entrain to a steady stable rhythm.
Have students notice the group rhythm, does their bounce support the flow or disrupt the flow?
Directions:
To do this game the circle has to be large enough to have about 3 to 4 feet
between students.
Student need to have enough skill to bounce a large ball where they aim it.
This skill can be developed through:

If students don't have enough skill to bounce and catch, this game will be a
non productive frustration.
Teacher to student next to them. " I am going to bounce you the ball. You catch
it, then turn and bounce it to the next person. Let's work to get it all the way
around the circle."
Sensitize students to the cues of the next person being ready to catch.
