Bounce - 1 Ball- To Self - Two Hand
About:
Bouncing balls adds to the sensory integration because of the sound of the ball, the visual passage of the ball, and the movement in the body all help to organize the brain into a better sense of time and place.
I have found this particularly helps people who are anxious to feel more safe and grounded.
Purpose:
Calm Attention
Being present.
Hand eye coordination.
Develop sense of timing.
Increase hand and finger dexterity.
Ability to flow and move with grace.
Directions:
Review Toss One Bean Bag To Self One Hand
Using almost the same motion of tossing the bean the bag up, toss the ball down
Have forearm at 90 degrees from upper arm
Have the ball bounce up about 4 inches over the hands then fall into the hands.
Glitches:
- Ball is hard to catch
- Be sure the ball arcs over the hands then drops into the hands with little velocity.
