Bounce - 1 Ball- To Self - One Hand

About:

Bouncing balls adds to the sensory integration because of the sound of the ball, the visual passage of the ball, and the movement in the body all help to organize the brain into a better sense of time and place.
I have found this particularly helps people who are anxious to feel more safe and grounded.

Purpose:

Calm Attention

Hand eye coordination

Develop sense of timing.

Increase hand and finger dexterity

Transition Bean Bag Toss to Ball Bounce


Directions:

Review Toss One Bean Bag To Self Two Hand

Using almost the same motion of tossing the bean the bag up, toss the ball down

Have fore arms at 90 degrees from up arms

Have the ball bounce up about 4 inches over the hands then fall into the hands.

Catch the ball with palm facing up.

Catch the ball at the 2nd knockle.
