Pass Two Bean Bags Around the Circle -
Receive, Toss, Pass Synchronize The Bounces
About:
This is very much the same as Pass Two Large Balls around the circle, receive Bounce Pass Synchronize the Bounce.
Where balls generally bounce down, bean bags go up. Bouncing the balls can be easier because of the sound that they make when the hit the ground; the tosses make no sound until you catch them.
Purpose:
Contact, Cooperation, Coordination particularly with peers / other students.
Sending and Receiving cues with a partner.
Directions:
Do this after the group is good with Passing One Ball around the circle- receive, bounce, pass. If they can't do that well, both in the tossing and in the passing, this will only lead to frustration.
Two students across the circle from each other receive the balls. They need to
look at each other, raise the balls together and bounce so that both balls hit
the ground at the same time.
This cueing can be done non verbally through movement and gesture or verbally
saying "Ready, set go", or "One To Three".
This can be a good exercise to let group members try different approaches and
then evaluate together how well they worked.

Glitches:
- Neither student pays attention to the other of the cue to bounce.
- Ask each "how did you know when partner was going to bounce the ball?"
- Take over the problem
- Student have trouble catching the beans.
- Shorten the distance that they are tossed.
- Student(s) continues to be careless in their tosses and reckless with the group.
- WIth little fanfare, split the group, those who are careless are in a group doing a more basic activity.
Extention:
Pass an instrument around the room- play a particular 'piece' such as pluck each string on a ukulele.
