During these unusual circumstances of the Covid pandemic, here is an opportunity to bring more music, celebration and community to your children, families, friends and neighborhood!

Offering:
I can come to you, bring instruments, and provide meaningful music making experiences.

I have a full set of handdrums, and various percussion, and other instruments.
I also have various flutes, xylophones, an amadinda.
I have a full drum set, cello, electric bass- and some cool electronics.
I have some exotic instruments including a RavVast.
I bring a variety of games, improvisation, movement and traditional pieces.
I can do one time events or a series of classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the youngest age that you teach?

There are many factors: maturity of child, how involved a parent or caregiver wants to be, if there are other children. I find that 4 year olds can generally start having productive lessons. With a supportive caregiver, 2 and 3 year olds can have a fun and enriching expreience.

How are you managing social distancing with these events?

Participants sit an appropriate distance from each other. My staff and I wear masks when closer than 6 feet.
Instruments are appropriately cleaned.
Handwashing is done at begining and end of each session.

How do you generally run your classes/lessons?

I seek to understand the particular interests and needs of a given student or group.
With younger children- we usually begin and end with "Hello" and "Goodbye" Songs.
We do physical movement games.
We work on some specific, rhythm or technique.
We to a hands on 'show and tell'.
We have a celebrational jam.
We can make some simple instruments-

With older students- We do some kind of a check in.
Learn some specifc techniques, rhythms, patterns.
We do some improvisation.
We include some movement.
I like to have some kind or a check-out that includes some self reflection.
