Six Dimensions of Emotional Intelligence
Principal:
A neurologically based lense of looking at emotional intelligence, is that their are six dimension. These correlate aspects on neuroscientific research particularly qEEG brain maps.
These dimensions are:
- Resilience: how slowly or quickly a student can recover from adversity.
- Outlook: how long a student is able to sustain positive emotion.
- Social Intuition: how adept a student is at picking up social signals from the people around you.
- Self-Awareness: how well a student can perceive their bodily feelings that reflect emotions.
- Sensitivity to Context: how good a student is at regulating hiser emotional responses to take into account the context that they find hiser-self in.
- Attention: how sharp and clear a students focus is.
These dimensions are addressed and developed through this curriculum.
